Self-portrait

Self-portrait: A wooden container—from the pre-digital era, when printers would physically construct print material by lead-setting type—is used in a process of self-deconstruction. The background image is a skyline photo, pointed in the direction of Torre Glòries. The component photos are drawn from (1) artwork for this show; (2) photos representing my inner child at play; (3) scoliosis, as indicative of aging; and (4) the man from Loss, allusion to an intense personal loss during the creation of this project. Each cubicle is partially or fully filled with epoxy resin.
