Mommy, I’m Scared

Mommy, I’m Scared is a composition of drainage pipe connects a polar sea—with catastrophic melting, and an Asian woman and her children adrift in a vessel christened Wuhan—and a safe, bucolic civilized place, signifying the connections between threats from afar and of the vague, relentless, creeping terror of the unknown future, especially from a perspective of passivity, and with the image of a child used (1) to suggest vulnerability, and (2) the responsibility of the current adult population to future generations. A dead fish floats at the bottom, counterpoint to the false assurances from one of the parents.
